Sascha dealt with many animal themes in his rich
and storied career. The horse, the rooster and the
afghan hound rank as his favorite subjects. All his
 treatments were fanciful and striking. Very few
 artists can match his considerable talent in so
 many challenging fields.  I choose to call this
7"  attractive item a trivet. It might also pass for a lid
 to a box. Whichever it is, it's lovely. (item 3182)
