Sascha was fond of the circus and all
forms of theatrical activity. He was once a
ballet artist himself, designed costumes
for 20th Century Fox and some of the
household movie star names of the 50's,
60's and 70's. In 1976 he was
commissioned by the Franklin Mint to
design a series of circus animals and
circus personnel. His remarkable
design consisted of six figures executed
in solid sterling silver and 24 carat gold.
This tile, while not a part of that series, is
nonetheless reflective of it. It's 7" wide
and 9" long with no chips, cracks or
