A toppet, as one can see, is all "head" and no "body." A poppet, on the other hand, has both  head and body and that's the difference. Mary has holes in her head (no pun intended) for holding flowers. She's about 5½" tall and she's in great shape. Since fewer toppets were produced they are harder to find.
